Sengled Element now also talks with Alexa
Sengled introduces with Amazon Alexa controllable smart LED light bulb at IFA 2017
Düsseldorf, August 9th 2017. Sengled, a leading manufacturer of innovative lighting solutions for the smart home, will introduce a new additional function for its Sengled Element at International Electronics Fair IFA (Berlin, 1 - 6 September 2017, smart home hall 6.2, stand 104). The smart LED light bulb can now also be controlled via voice command with Amazon Alexa.
Creating light scenarios via voice command
Networked language assistants in smart homes are the new helpers in everyday life. A wide range of devices such as blinds or alarm systems can be operated by means of language assistants. With Sengled Element it is now possible to conveniently control light scenarios via voice command. Through the connection of Sengled Element with Amazon assistant Alexa, the smart LED light bulb can be switched on or off using a voice command like "Alexa, switch the desk lamp on" or its brightness adjusted.
Connection with Amazon Alexa
In order to be able to operate Sengled Element with Alexa, the Alexa app merely has to be connected with "Sengled Element Skill". Through the activation of Sengled Element Home Skill within the Alexa app, access to the bulbs is enabled.
The smart bulb
Sengled Element can easily be screwed into a common B22 or E27 base and, alongside its dimming and switching on and off functions, offers many more setting options. For example, users can set the colour temperature from warm to cold white and not only operate and dim the Sengled Element using the app or a voice command but also conventionally through the light switch. Equally, different light scenarios can be set up very easily and the lighting be adjusted to outside conditions according to the time of the day. Through the app, the user also has an overview of his energy consumption.
Sengled Element Hub
A requirement for the connection of Sengled Element with the smart home network and the control with Amazon Alexa is the installation of the Sengled Element Hub that can be connected with the home network and serves as gateway.
